If you experience this issue, please go to your browser settings, and clear your cookies and cached browsing data. Close the browser, and re-login into Portal Plus and Canvas. MONITORING

Over the past several weeks, our Engineering team investigated a technical issue that impacted photo printing on visitor badges. The resolution was incorporated into a broader platform improvement initiative already underway. As a result, this update resolves the photo printing issue and introduces enhancements that improve the platform’s long-term reliability, security and performance. One of the features included in this release is an upgrade of the underlying framework to a newer, fully-supported version of the Microsoft .NET platform. Moving to .NET Framework 4.8.1 helps ensure continued compatibility with modern operating system security standards while positioning the Hardware Service for future performance improvements and feature enhancements. This updated version has undergone comprehensive validation and has already been successfully deployed within a controlled group of customer environments without disruption. We are currently finalizing our plan to deploy the updated Hardware Service across all VisitorSafe systems at scale. Given the time of year, and in response to suggestions we have received from customers regarding Hardware Service updates, we are providing customers with the option to perform a self-update ahead of our broader rollout. Please note that this version of the Hardware Service requires .NET Framework 4.8.1 to be installed on the machine where the service runs. To simplify the process, the All-in-One installer referenced in the instructions below includes .NET Framework 4.8.1 as part of the installation package and will install it automatically if it is not already present on the system. To download the All-In-One installer, please go to apps.raptortech.com, select "Support", go to "Downloads & Installs", and select "Install All Components". -Raptor Support Team

ALERT TYPE: Windows Workstation Updates DATE: Wednesday 4/15/26 DETAILS: Windows Workstation Updates What Is Happening Starting on Wednesday April 15th, 2026 at 8:00 AM, Windows Updates will be made available to Windows based computer systems. You may see a message balloon stating “Software changes are required. Your IT department requires changes to the software on your computer. Click here for options” You may click on the message balloon and proceed to install the updates or wait for Windows to automatically install the updates later. Automatic Install and Restart On Wednesday April 22nd, 2026 at 11:30AM, if the updates have not yet been installed, the updates will be installed automatically and may be followed by a computer restart. If your computer is not powered on at this time, the Windows updates and possible restart will occur once the computer and Windows has started. Why are these updates important? Every second Tuesday of every month (Patch Tuesday), Microsoft releases updates to supported versions of Windows and other Microsoft products. These updates may include corrections, new features, and security related changes. The Windows updates being installed on your computer are focused on critical and security updates for Windows. Critical and security updates are major corrections to Windows that Microsoft has identified as being a high priority that fix known problem issues with Windows to include potential security issues that could make the computer vulnerable to malware (from websites, email, etc). -Help Desk Support Team
